Resurrection
I love spring. Several weeks ago my romantic husband wandered through the grounds of Woodmont Hills and brought me home these treasures.
Something wakes up inside me every spring that I forget evens exists during the months of winter. I don't even mind winter--I love a lot about it but it's like there are daffodil bulbs in my spirit. You don't know that they are there until a green shoot peeks up above the cold soil and before you know it a laughing sunny yellow blossom is bobbing it's head at you in the crystal light of the spring air.
I feel reborn.

Today I spent the morning out on the patio trimming, weeding, cleaning and getting it ready for planting. It was a gorgeous 67 degrees, crystal clear spring blue sky, cardinals, mockingbirds and chickadees singing us their happy songs . . . . my sweet girls climbing the tree, pretending to be birds building nests, "cooking" up apple pies in the sand box, digging up worms and squealing with glee when the worms squirmed in their hands . . . We ate a snack at the picnic table and listened to hymns on my ipod. A pretty idyllic morning! It feels so good to get outdoors and work in the dirt.

Now on the plum the snowy bloom is sifted,

Dark cypress boughs with vivid jewels glisten,

Fair in your face I read the flowery presage,
Snowy on your brow and rosy on your mouth:
