Well, better late than never! Here I am with the (many) pictures and post about our holidays with the Brown side of the family! Thank you for your patience (Kristen . . .) :)
We ended up leaving a couple days later than planned which turned out to be a good thing because our planned arrival date was stormy and windy with temperatures below zero. As it was we just got to watch the world around us slowly but surely transform into a winter wonderland the further north we got instead of actually experiencing its creation. :) What fun to have such a white Christmas!
Playing in the snow was definitely a highlight for everyone except Hannah. She was actually quite frightened of the snow and was only content when being held or walking on the shoveled sidewalk. She was quite fascinated with it as long as she was safe inside looking out the window. I guess it was just too many new things all at once not to mention the fact that a thick blanket of snow completely changes the way the whole world looks!
Helping Grandma and Grandpa feed the fish, petting their cat Mischief, having so many people to read to her and play with, lots of special attention from cousin Aurora, watching football with Grandpa and Daddy, not to mention presents, presents and more presents were all highlights for Hannah.
Highlights for me included lots of sweet conversations with Danielle and Mom, watching movies, playing "Apples to Apples", watching everyone open their presents on Christmas morning, being so blessed by the generous gifts we received, and watching Hannah interact with everyone. It is always so special to me how much love and attention gets lavished on Hannah by family. I'll let the pictures tell the rest! Just click on the slide show below and enjoy!
